Artemisia douglasiana (California Mugwort, Douglas's Sagewort or Dream Plant) is an aromatic herb in the genus Artemisia. 5 groceries, 70 restaurants, 15 parks. It turns red in late summer and autumn before its leaves fall leaving behind bare branches during winter.

The dorsal fur is a silver gunmetal gray, with pure white on the underside; there may be black flecks in the tail. Found north of Mexico, it is one of the best-known mammals in Canada and the United States.

The peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus), also known as the peregrine and historically as the duck hawk in North America, is a widespread bird of prey in the family Falconidae.  It is native to Southern California and northern Baja California, where it grows in coastal chaparral habitat.

The northern segment begins near Whittier Narrows Recreation Area. Eschscholzia californica, also known as the Californian poppy, golden poppy, California sunlight, or cup of gold, is a species of flowering plant in the family Papaveraceae, native to the United States and Mexico. The sign at the SGRT junction marks it as the Santa Fe Equestrian Staging Area. Pretty sure Compton is considered the most dangerous city in California. Keep an eye out for floatsam and jetsam on in this underpass, also a homeless haven. Also it is way too dark and poorly maintained. There may be water and restrooms inside, but it was closed. San Gabriel River Trail, also known as Goodwater Loop, is a 26.9 mile trail along the San Gabriel River and Lake Georgetown.

The willow flycatcher (Empidonax traillii) is a small insect-eating, neotropical migrant bird of the tyrant flycatcher family. Get outa the way.

The berries provided food for local Native American tribes, such as the Chumash, Tongva, and Tataviam. The trail continues up past the 210 fwy and follows the river bed into Azusa canyon. No restrooms at the trailhead. In June, the rattlesnakes come out of hibernation and can be seen on the trail in that areabe careful!!! The trail is a popular bicycle route. The trail and riverleft to its natural course in the northalso passes through scenic protected areas here, including the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area and Whittier Narrows. Down hilling that section is a rush. The questions of how and where to stage a ride in the Narrows sector remains for another day. However, the skies towards Liberty Park are looking better, so time to hat up and head downstream. Anyway, Duarte to Seal is a great route Parking is available at two trailheads in Azusa: a small parking lot is located near the trail's northern end on San Gabriel Canyon Road (State Route 39), while a much larger parking lot can be found off E. Foothill Boulevard. . After shopping, cross at the light and take the sidewalk 0.2 miles to the entrance to the trail. Tree squirrels undergo a complete head-to-tail molt in the spring and a rump-to-head molt in the fall. Enjoy this 39.6-mile point-to-point trail near Azusa, California. In some cases it appears they have more money in the stables or barn than the house. Turns into the BB&PP across the river. Glaucopsyche lygdamus, the silvery blue, is a small blue butterfly native to North America. Walden Dr. Access the South San Gabriel Trail, Randy Morrow Trail and the Bark Park. Adenostoma fasciculatum (chamise or greasewood) is a flowering plant native to Oregon, Nevada, California, and northern Baja California.This shrub is one of the most widespread plants of the chaparral biome. The American coot (Fulica americana), also known as a mud hen, is a bird of the family Rallidae. Excellent starting points to experience different sections of the River include Sepulveda Basin, Griffith Park, the City of Glendale Riverwalk, and the Long Beach bike path. Nearby grocery stores include Whole Foods, Gelson's Market, and Thacker Berry Farms. Very similar to the Los Angeles River Trail but much cleaner. Once a wild animal gets accustomed to being fed by humans there is much more likelihood that an individual will get bitten by an animal looking for food.

Asclepias fascicularis is a species of milkweed known by the common names narrowleaf milkweed and Mexican whorled milkweed. You can see it under construction in Google Earth.
